Shenandoah's possibilities are endless by the yarns and colors that are selected.  The squares are connected by knitting them together and designed so that the yarn-over eyelet in the squares have continuity.  The finished edge is done in an I-cord.  This is a perfect "on the go" project!  (It's also a great way to use up those marvelous yarns from previous projects.)

Swing Knits® Every Which Way Scarf

1PM - 4PM

The scarf is a perfect beginner's step into the concept of knitting directional short row areas ("Fields").  Half of them are developed on the right side of the fabric and the other half are on the wrong side.  The knitter will also gain an understanding of how removable markers can be their new, best friend related to keeping track of turns.  This project can be knitted for a cowl or for a scarf.  Some very clever students have knitted vests and throws from this design also. Oh the possibilities!

Swing Knits® Fancy Socks

Saturday, October 26, 2019

9AM - 4PM

Class project for Swing Knits

This class is developed so that the student can create a beautiful free-flowing, design in knitted fabric. The formation of leaf-like shapes in the fabric that intertwine with each other make the fabric look “alive” with natural shapes.  Using markers and gaining some insight about shaping short rows, the knitter will have a very personal and unique result. Depending on the 6-ply yarn that is selected, the "look" will change.  The pattern can also be transformed into wrist warmers.
